Basically, I lead a boring life.

After years of yearning to be a taitai, I decide better not. My brain cells may degenerate to a unrecognisable state and I'll spend all my time only pinning for my husband, my kids to come home...

This is where all quarrels start. When the wife has nothing better else to do than to pick fights about anything and everything under the sun. Thou shalt not be the typical aunties around.

Everyone needs a break.

I watched a little of the fund-rasing event on Chan 8. Truthfully, it's the very first time that such charity shows actually tugged a string in my heart. I haven't felt empathetic for a very long time, the things and lies of this world just makes us hardened and indifferent.

There was this real-life incident in Sichuan where a young lady was found dead under the rubble. The rescue workers found it odd that her posture was weird when they found her - she was in a crouching position, with knees and hands clasped tightly together. Then the team realised there was a baby wrapped in cloth, hidden in the arms of the mother. The baby was miraculously alive and sleeping soundly, oblivious to the disaster which took its mother's life. In the blankets wrapping the baby the rescue team found a handphone that the mother had intentionally left, with a message that read in mandarin "my child, if you are alive, remember that I love you". The mother had shielded her precious child from the hard concrete that came crashing down on her own body.

Once again I'm reminded of the signs of end times written in the Bible. The Bible mentioned nations will rise against nations, and natural disasters will occur ever so frequently. I prayed. I know that our Father in Heaven knows your pain. Say to the weary one, your God will surely come, He will come and save you.

I hope I'll get a good temp job. And I hope I'll have a good week ahead.
